925 sterling silver is the backbone of our factory floor. Most of the styles we ship each season begin as a silver master model — designed, cast, set, polished and inspected under one roof in our 900 m² Guangdong workshop by a 50-person team that includes 3 dedicated R&D staff and 8 full-time QC inspectors. This page explains how we run a sterling silver program from first sketch to packed carton, and what you can expect on price, timing and compliance.
Sterling silver — 92.5% silver alloyed with copper for hardness — is the accepted precious metal of the accessible luxury segment. It carries real metal value your customers can feel, it takes both gold and rhodium plating beautifully, and it is recognized by retailers across the US, UK, EU and Middle East as a sellable material claim. For brands moving between fashion and fine jewelry price points, silver is the natural home base.
We work from your sketch, technical drawing, CAD file or a physical reference sample. Our modeling team builds the piece in CAD or hand-carves a master, prints a high-resolution resin, and casts a first article for your approval. Approved masters are converted into durable molds for repeat production.
Loss-wax casting produces the bodies for rings, pendants and sculptural pieces; wire and sheet forming handles chains, bangles and ear wires. Silver is weighed per piece so your costing stays predictable against the live metal market.
We set cubic zirconia, pearls and enamel accents by hand, and assemble multi-part designs. Every batch passes through 8 documented QC checkpoints — stone security, alignment, clasp function and dimensional tolerance among them.
Mechanical and hand polishing bring the surface to a plating-ready mirror before any finish is applied. A poorly polished silver body shows every flaw under plating, so this stage gets disproportionate attention on our floor.
Silver programs are tested against EN 1811 nickel release limits, GB 11887 and RoHS requirements, with SGS test reports available. Plating baths are nickel-controlled so finished pieces are suitable for sensitive-skin markets. If your retail channel requires a specific test pack, send us the checklist during quoting and we will build it into the program.
MOQ 30 pieces per design · Sampling 7–12 days · Bulk production 20–35 days · SGS / RoHS / GB 11887 / EN 1811 tested.
For larger seasonal programs, volume runs on our manufacturing base in Luoding, Guangdong — an approximately 113,220 m² production site — while sampling and first articles stay with the same engineering team from quote to delivery.

Silver costing is quoted per piece, not per gram of finished weight alone. Each quote separates metal value (weighed per unit so it tracks the live market), labor by process step, stone and plating cost, and packaging. That structure lets you see exactly where a design can be re-engineered for price — a lighter gauge, a simpler setting, or a switch from hand-set stones to glued settings — without guessing. Volume tiers start at the 30-piece MOQ and step down at 100, 300 and 1,000 pieces per style.
Standard export packing uses individual OPP bags, foam cards and a master carton with a packing list. Private-label hang tags, branded pouches and gift boxes can be quoted with the order. Every shipment leaves with a commercial invoice, packing list and material statement; SGS reports, material certificates and nickel-release test data are attached on request so your customs broker and retail compliance team have what they need on arrival.
Send us your sketches, CAD files or reference links — our engineering team replies with costing and design-for-manufacturing feedback within 48 hours. Request a quote or email service@hongkongvita.com.
